The Blouse
Description: A stylistic recreation of a genuine 1890’s Victorian blouse.
Final recreation.
In 2018 I was given this original 1890's blouse by a family friend.
It was very fragile and in poor condition.
I realized it was beyond repair so I decided to recreate it instead.
With the help of my sewing teacher I built a pattern out of the blouse.
I shopped for materials that could emulate the style, whilst adding my own creative flare.
I displayed both blouses along side the pattern at an art gallery in school.
