The First Trashion Show Dress

I made this dress in third grade for my elementary school’s celebration of Earth Day. Every year students would create outfits for fun out of recycled materials and the school would host a fashion show. They called it the Trashion Show. The first time that I participated, I made this dress out of Vons plastic bags, which I wove together on my loom.

The following year I expanded upon the original dress making it Victorian inspired by adding sleeves and a bustle.
